Miami startup LiveNinja has been acquired by net2phone, a telecommunications-geared subsidiary of public company IDT Corporation (NYSE: IDT).
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Built to help businesses stay in touch with their customers through real-time video chat tools, LiveNinja will enable net2phone to advance its cloud-based communication service for small and mid-sized businesses, said net2phone president Jonah Fink.“The acquisition of LiveNinja reflects our commitment to grow PicuP into a market leading multi-channel communications platform for small to mid-sized enterprises — facilitating seamless communications between SMB's, their customers and their suppliers through voice, video, chat, texting, messaging and more,” Fink said.
PicuP provides small to midsized businesses (SMBs) with an automated self-service platform that allows them to professionally answer, route and manage their inbound calls.LiveNinja offers a messaging application that facilitates communication between companies and their customers across multiple messaging and chat channels including live chat, SMS and Facebook Messenger."Customers today reach out to businesses through a multitude of channels, and businesses need the tools to manage these interactions seamlessly," said LiveNinja CEO and co-founder Will Weinraub. “"Imagine a scenario where a customer contacts a business through its website, transfers from chat to SMS, and then continues the conversation by calling the business's dedicated phone number.
