Beloved Kulcha Shok Reggae Sundays Find New Home at The Wynwood Yard
Apr 03, 2016
Miami’s popular Kulcha Shok Reggae Sundays, which has resided at Jazid for nine years, now has a new home at The Wynwood Yard.
Soak in some of Miami’s best live reggae bands and DJs, starting this Sunday, April 3rd. The party goes down every Sunday from 4 pm to 11 pm with free admission.
Unlike at the previous venue, kids and dogs are welcome for Sunday Funday relaxation.
The party is organized by Lance-O, staunch longtime promoter of quality reggae in South Florida.
This first Reggae Sunday sees the return of Jahfe to Reggae Sundays for the first time in four years. The band was a huge hit at the Jazid nights, but outgrew the space. Lance-O says, “Jahfe is hands-down one of the best reggae bands in Florida and one of the best in the country, in my opinion.” Jahfe has a huge following in Europe and the Caribbean. They’re a bona fide roots-rock-reggae band with some pop elements and a star-quality lead singer. The group is working on their third album now and their set will feature some new songs.
Uma Galera, a group made up of members from Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Cuba and Puerto Rico, will also play a set of their Latin-infused reggae beats.
Of course, guests can indulge in The Wynwood Yard’s full bar and in all of the food offerings, including the newest addition: wood-fired Neapolitan pizza by Ash by Stanzione 87.
