Gettin' Thrifty at Rumors Boutique

Nov 18, 2015

If it’s happening in Wynwood, you know it’s one-of-a-kind. The neighborhood was recently blessed with a very unique vintage thrift boutique, which is not only spectacular, but crazy affordable too! Business partners and long-time friends Casey Longyear and Marshe Wyche are co-owners of Rumors Boutique. Starting this business at just 22 years old and straight out of college, they put in their passion and pennies into this thriving (and thrifting) business. Now, almost 10 years later, they’ve opened their third storefront right here in Wynwood.

Their Miami venture began in August, but with no intentions of opening a location here. They came to do inventory shopping for their other two storefronts in Richmond, Virginia and Chapel Hill. After realizing there weren’t many local businesses offering their concept of curated clothing at an affordable price for the young and hip, the idea for a Miami location came to be. And after careful thought and countless location hunts, they made 215 NW 36th Street their official storefront.

You can expect to find an eclectic array of styles, anything from punk-ish to girly, or grungy to classy. Not to mention, they also buy, sell and trade!
Like the two other Rumors Boutique storefronts, this location has prospects to begin “Shop for a Reason”, where each week a different non-profit organization will be featured in the store and receive 20% of a day’s profit.

"Combining fashion with non-profit causes is something we always wanted to incorporate in our stores.” says Casey Longyear.

So make sure to stop by Rumors, and give them a 'follow' on Instagram and Facebook!
